2016 is the year of St. Blaise, a patron of the city of Dubrovnik. On the 18th of May 2015, the City Council of Dubrovnik declared 2016 as the Year of St.Blaise, on the occasion of the 1700th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dubrovnik’s patron. The Mayor Andro Vlahušić appointed a working group for the preparation of year-round program of celebration.
Development Agency DURA from Dubrovnik is responsible for coordinating all project activities related to the celebration of St. Blaise. Department for Culture and Heritage of the City of Dubrovnik is coordinating the events together with the DURA and will help to invite all interested associations, cultural clubs, museums and galleries to enrich the program.
Festival FESTA 2016 DUBROVNIK will be held from 26 January to 5 February, while the exhibition program will be available throughout the whole year of St. Blaise.
